Location is optional.

No background location tracking runs in NZoffer.

Manual city/suburb browsing remains available when location permission is not granted.

If you choose Near me, NZoffer requests one foreground position and uses it only for that active radius search. It is not saved to your account or browser, added to analytics, or shared with merchants. Nearby responses are not cached.

The web map uses Leaflet with OpenStreetMap-derived map tiles. Tiles load only when the map is near your screen or you choose Load interactive map. The configured tile provider then receives ordinary web request data, such as your IP address and the NZoffer page origin. Opening the map itself does not request your device location. If you open a map after a nearby search, the provider can infer the displayed area from the requested map tiles or viewport.

A temporary Google Maps mode is retained only as a release rollback. When enabled, it connects to Google only after you choose View map.
